How does hybrid herbicide affect the starch content of potatoes?

Studies with 4 varieties at 4 sites and different dosages have shown that hybrid herbicides have no special influence on the starch content compared to chemistry. However, since hybrid herbicide often acts faster than chemistry and also interrupts the transport of sugar into the tuber, the starch contents are correspondingly lower. This can be used by the farmer in the same way as herb beating to limit the starch content. If he needs as much starch as possible, he can also let the potatoes grow as long as possible and still gain valuable starch.
