Does Hybrid Herbicide reduce the
logistical problems of siccation?

The siccatives still approved for potatoes inhibit protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO inhibitors). When light hits the treated plants, phytotoxic intermediates are formed during photosynthesis, which then destroy the cells of the plant. This process requires at least 5 h of sun after spraying. This makes spraying logistics more difficult since the time of day is limited in addition to the weather. Even wind, even in the best sunshine, can then still hinder on-time spraying. None of this exists with Hybrid Herbicide. This helps contractors in particular, as treatment can be carried out regardless of the time of day, wind and hours of sunshine.
